For more than three decades, Rolling Meadows Academy of Dog Training has helped individuals and families find something far more important than simply a well-trained dog: the right dog for them.

Located in the Piedmont region of North Carolina and serving clients across North Carolina, throughout the United States and internationally, we carefully select, professionally train and individually match Adult Trained Dogs with the people and families they are chosen to serve.

Elite Family Companions

Therapy Dogs

Service Dogs

Each service dog receives specialized task training tailored to the client’s disability-related needs.

Private Obedience Training Programs

For more than 30 years, Rolling Meadows Academy of Dog Training has helped clients develop well-mannered, dependable family dogs through professional obedience training.

We continue to accept a limited number of personally owned dogs into our obedience programs. Each program is offered selectively and tailored to the dog, the household and the family's goals.

Why We Begin With Adult Dogs

A thoughtfully bred puppy may show exceptional promise, but no one can guarantee exactly how that individual puppy's adult temperament, personality, health and trainability will develop. By selecting dogs generally between one and four years old, we can evaluate qualities that are far more observable than they were during early puppyhood.

Barbara considers each dog's confidence, sociability, energy, resilience, trainability, history and compatibility before determining whether the dog may be suited to become an Elite Family Companion, Therapy Dog or Service Dog.

A puppy offers potential. An adult dog allows us to evaluate the dog in front of us.

We do not simply train dogs and sell them. We select, evaluate, match and train the right dog for the right person. We then personally deliver the dog and provide continued support to help the relationship succeed.
